John and his wife Jan founded the digital label Magnatunes 3 years ago with the intention of changing how labels operate and treat both their customers and their artist. When we first started to design how Fake Science was going to work, digital labels like Magnatunes gave us a lot of insperation and proved to us that new ideas that radically change the old model can work. One of the more interesting aspects of Magnatunes is how they adopted Creative Commons with open arms and its no wonder CC asked him to join the board.
